The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Walkthrough Part 1 - Controls and Basic Items

YES!!!!! Hello Kwish Network!!!! I, Kenton, am finally going to release my walkthrough, and it is going to be awesome!!! This walkthrough that will progress over the summer is one that is ONLY for the game "The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time!" If you are looking for a walkthrough of the Master Quest version of this game, you've come to the wrong website. These videos will show you how to get everything (or almost everything) in this game without using glitches, cheats, or hacks. Anyway, this first video is how to get completely prepared for the Deku Tree and how the controls work (in case you didn't know). If your computer is crappy enough to not be able to load the video, you can follow these instructions on what to do. I will be doing this with EVERY walkthrough video. Oh, one last thing. If any of the experts on this game notice that I'm missing something, write a comment about that. I can't add anything missing into my videos, but I can add them to my instructions in the written words. So, here are the manual instructions:

To get the Kokiri Sword, head over to the Kokiri Training Center on the top of a short, upward slope. Crawl through the space in the wall. Avoid the rolling boulder by walking behind it at first. Then, find a treasure chest by turning a couple times. In it is the Kokiri Sword. Equip the sword by pressing START and going to the Equipment Selection Screen. Next obtain 99 rupees by going into the sisters' house (the one that has dark brown wood on the outside of it) and destroying the 2 pots by throwing them against the wall. Collect the money and exit the house. Enter again and repeat the process until you have 99 rupees. Buy a Deku Shield for 40 rupees and buy a 10-set of Deku Nuts for 30 rupees. Equip the shield. Walk behind the counter where you can't see your character to get more rupees. Buy another 10-set of Deku Nuts. Equip the nuts on one of your C buttons on the Item Selection Screen. Go talk to Mido so he'll stop blocking the way to the Deku Tree. On the path, kill each of the 3 Deku Babas (the plants with long stems that come out of the ground) and a Deku stick will appear by each of the places where they were. Then walk back to the main part of the village. Go back on the path again and repeat this process until you have 10 Deku Sticks. You will only have to kill one of the enemies on the fourth time. Equip the sticks. Save your game.

Here are the controls once you have these items:

A button: pick up, throw, talk, roll while walking, put item away, select, decide, backfip in Z\L Targeting while walking backwards, sidestep in Z\L Ttargeting while walking sideways, opens the file menu on the starting screen as a substitution for the START button.

B button: save while on start menu, use sword, push 3 times for sword combo, hold down for either 1 or 2 sword spins, stop using ocarina, say no at some points, go back from something at some points, skip through people saying things or reading signs.

C buttons (Nintendo 64 controller) \C joystick (Nintendo Gamecube controller): use item equipped to C, equip item to C, look in first person view with C-Up, talk to Navi when icon is flashing with C-Up.

R button: use shield, move to next screen on START menu.

Z button (Nintendo 64 controller) \L button (Nintendo Gamecube controller): hold to go into Z\L Targeting when there is nothing to target and release to stop, target something, go out of Z\L Targeting while targeting something, target another object while targeting something. BEWARE!! Pressing Z on a Nintendo Gamecube controller uses a C item!!

START button: open START menu, close START menu, sometimes a substitution for the A button, opens the file menu when you press it on the starting screen.

Well, that's it for now! Oh, and the reason why I saved 3 times on my video, well that's just me. Anyway, look for the next part of my walkthrough!! Kenton, out!!!!!! :)
